Loot Crate Update!

Just when I get close to finishing my G & W (Game & Watch) Watch collection something super cool I only saw pictures of and am listed in a book as a supporter that’s due out soon the Quarter Arcade Series by Numskull

In this picture you can see the games operating and YES you can play them all!!! Amazing even the TMNT ones are 4 players! HDMI out and a USB port for play on the big screen if you wanted.

In the back, you’ll see a board game or two from the early 80s, along with its Atari or ColecoVision counterpart! Let’s not forget the lightsbers!!! I think this area is complete. Under the good stuff, there are original board games of Mouse Trap, Operation, and about a dozen more! I’ll be getting my cabinets built that are just like the ones in my closet here, but different heights.

TO MUCH LOOT CRATE!!!

I spent Sept and Oct. so far haggling, wheeling, and dealing for rare and obscure items. I really need to show my office as it stands right now! It’s a mess as I’m wiring up new light boxes from an Etsy vendor I’ve learned to like a lot for the quality of their work, as well as a model builder from 3d prints. They send prime and paint mostly from Turkey! But the darn postal be it USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL, everyone is smashing boxes, so be careful and talk to your artist or vendor!

Loot Crate OVERFLOW!

Had a HUGE LOT of items come in from one time screen printed movie posters signed and numbered by the artist, to books, to a MAD influx of G & W games (Nintendo Game & Watch), lights, and stuff. I’ll be posting pictures where I’m at tomorrow night as the room lights up better. 🙂 Stay tuned!

Still goin!

Well, still going to the room. I have a hutch coming for my ultra-tiny doorless closet. Some other goodies as well. Here is the room in a panoramic shot, going from my lightsabers on the left when you look in from the door to the final saber that basically marks the door frame. The lighting doesn’t look right, but again, the camera, as good as it is seems to be struggling with all the colors I have glowing in here.

Please excuse some of the colors as the camera does a fair job at merging them, but as you can see, my blue lightsaber is lost (last on on the left towards my desk).

It may take a second to load the picture file because it is large and panoramic, and I didn’t want to sacrifice quality for speed.

A few weeks later and I’m still decorating…

Lots of new things pulled out from storage, bought or traded for. Check out the new lighting and light sabers! Brought my glass display case in here and loaded it with some of my more valuable handhelds from the Big N.

I’m selling a few things on Mercari and eBay at the moment to recoup some of the hidden costs of building this room out. Nothing but doubles, but still I have a ways to go with a bunch of new artwork coming and old board games, which are proving to be very affordable at $8-$30, and the ones at the $30 range are new or just produced and off the shelves. So here is where I stand at the moment! Please excuse the mess (drills and hammers etc…) I’m still hanging shelves and have original movie posters coming for Space Ace (a Don Blueth laser disk cartoon game from the mid 80’s) and The Land Before time. For the hall way. A HUGE reproduction of my favorite sci-fi movie The Day The Earth Stood Still. Picked up a “Neon” (Actually bendable LEDs) Sign form my game room “Bates Motel – No Vacancy” lots of goodies on the way. Moving and shaking. Picked up limited art prints of The Secret of NIHM and The Iron Giant. Those were slightly costly but I’ve been able to off set with sales. As things come in I’ll be sure to get pics and add them to my loot crate.

I had to delete the previous post as I messed up the backend of the code and accidentally deleted my old gallery… That’s what happens when you’ve been up for almost 5 days with little sleep. The last image shows a one-of-a-kind woodcut Diablo III demon head with eyes and a mouth that, if the light hits them right, change color to the ambient light. Also, that Secret of NIHM poster is an actual marquee that would be above the door to the theater in the movies from back when this film came out. It’s supposed to be backlit, but I have no means to make a shadow box and put a light in it. There is an image took off the artists page where he was showcasing the image of the Lord of Terror himself. The last one is my cool new rug that has LED strip inside the rim that can change to many colors and patterns.
